Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Vilém Hujnák for using Catify. We’ve tried to write them in plain language — if anything is unclear, ask us before you sign up.

1. Who we are
Catify is operated by Vilém Hujnák, Slovenská 240, 685 01 Bučovice, Czech Republic. You can reach us at support@getcatify.app. Throughout this document “we”, “us” and “Catify” mean that operator, and “you” means the person using the service.
2. What Catify does
Catify helps you look after a cat: a shared journal of photos, milestones, weight and health records; behaviour-science training and enrichment plans; meal and expense tracking; and a household hub so the people who share a cat can keep the same records together.
3. Your account
You need an account to use Catify. You must be at least 16 years old. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account, and you should tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
Please give us an email address that works. It is how we send confirmation and password-reset links, and how we’d reach you about a problem with your account or a change to these terms.
4. Households and shared data
Catify is built for sharing. When you invite someone into your household, or accept an invitation to join one, everyone in that household can see and edit that household’s records — the journal, photos, notes, health records, expenses and to-dos. Only invite people you are happy to share all of that with.
- The person who created a household is its owner. Owners can remove members, and removing a member immediately ends their access to that household’s data.
- Content stays with the household, not the member. If you leave or are removed, the entries you added remain in that household’s records for the people still in it.
- You can belong to several households, and each one is kept separate from the others.
5. Your content
Your photos, notes and records are yours. We do not claim ownership of them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your content, back it up, resize and deliver your images so they display in the app, and show it to the other members of your household.
We will not use your photos or notes in advertising or marketing, publish them, sell them, or use them to train machine-learning models. You can export everything from your account settings at any time, in a machine-readable format.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for not uploading anything unlawful or anything that infringes someone else’s rights.
6. Plans and pricing
Catify has a free plan and a paid subscription called Catify+. The free plan is for a single cat parent and includes the journal, food and health tracking, and a photo allowance. Catify+ adds personalised training plans, unlimited journal photos, co-parenting for up to four people in a household, and advanced nutrition and export features. The current feature split is always shown on our pricing page.
Catify+ costs €2.99 per month or €24 per year. Prices are the total you pay. We are not currently VAT-registered, so no VAT is added at checkout.
A subscription belongs to you, not to a household. One Catify+ subscription unlocks the paid features in every household you own.
7. Billing, renewal and cancellation
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Renewal is automatic. A monthly plan renews every month and a yearly plan every year, on the same date, at the price then shown for your plan, until you cancel.
- Cancellingtakes a couple of clicks: Account → Manage billing. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, then drop back to the free plan. We don’t ask why and we don’t make you email us.
- Failed payments may cause the paid features to switch off. Your data is not deleted — update your card and it comes straight back.
- Price changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before they affect you, and you can cancel before they take effect.
8. Your right to withdraw, and refunds
As a consumer in the EU you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Catify+ starts immediately, you are asking us to begin performance right away — but we do not ask you to waive anything.
If we ever charge you in error, or the service is unavailable for a sustained period through our fault, tell us and we will put it right.
9. Fair use
Short version: don’t break things and don’t hurt people. Specifically, please don’t:
- use Catify for anything unlawful, or to harass, threaten or impersonate anyone;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful or that you have no right to share;
- try to access other people’s households or accounts, probe or interfere with our security controls, or scrape the service;
- place a deliberately unreasonable load on the service, or resell it as your own product;
- use Catify to document animal cruelty or neglect.
If you break these rules we may limit or suspend your account. Where it is reasonable to do so, we’ll warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep Catify running, but we cannot promise it will never be unavailable. Maintenance, third-party outages and faults happen. We provide the service as it is, without a guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Catify is under active development, so features will change. We may add, alter or retire parts of the service. If we retire something you rely on, or make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan gives you, we’ll tell you by email beforehand and you may cancel.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Catify at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@getcatify.app. Deleting your account removes your personal data and, for any household where you are the only member, that household’s records. Export anything you want to keep first.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if we have to stop providing the service. If we discontinue Catify altogether we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data, and refund the unused part of any subscription you have already paid for.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, and your rights as a consumer under mandatory Czech and EU law.
Subject to that: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data beyond what we could reasonably have foreseen, and our total liability for any claim relating to Catify is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. In particular, we are not liable for decisions you make about your cat’s health — see the note in section 2.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms — for example when we add features or when the law changes. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Catify after that means you accept the new terms; if you don’t, you can cancel and close your account. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.
Please contact us first — most things are quickest to fix directly. If we cannot resolve it, consumers may refer the dispute to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Štěpánská 44, 110 00 Praha 1, out-of-court consumer dispute resolution: adr.coi.cz.
